- Provide hands-on personal care and daily living assistance to clients with special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients with developmental, physical, or cognitive disabilities in a compassionate manner
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and medication reminders
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities, social interaction, and skill-building exercises
- Monitor and document client health, behavior, and progress, reporting changes to supervisors
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
- Prior experience as a caregiver, direct support professional (DSP), or in special needs care preferred
- Familiarity with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or related conditions
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references
- Strong communication, patience, and empathy skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans
