- Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting for clients with dementia
- Implement dementia-specific care techniques to support cognitive engagement and emotional well-being
- Monitor and document changes in client behavior, mood, and health status
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders
- Offer companionship and meaningful activities tailored to the client's abilities and interests
- Communicate effectively with family members and care team regarding client progress and concerns
- Ensure a safe home environment by identifying and reducing fall or injury risks
- Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or CNA — dementia care experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease, dementia stages, and memory care best practices
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with calm, person-centered approaches
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check and reference verification
